PropTech. Have Real Estate Developers Become Hitech?

Digitalizing processes on the engineering, budgeting, procurement, and construction sides is a long-standing practice in the construction and real estate development industry. However, PropTech includes not only optimization of production processes but also changes on the sales side, closer integration with banks, creation of new sales channels, new models of interaction with clients, and the introduction of service and retail functions. According to reports by CB Insights and Venture Scanner, the global market for investment in PropTech startups and solutions is growing steadily. In 2016, the industry attracted $6.5 billion in investment, and in 2021 up to $32 billion.

  • How are developers capitalizing on multifunctionality?
  • What new models are they already using?
  • What new partnerships and players are emerging in the real estate technology market?
